Date set for Diebold hearing

Monday, November 17, is the date set by a US federal district court judge to hear a case brought by an ISP and two Swarthmore students against voting machine manufacturer Diebold Systems which, they say, has been harassing them and others in a case involving alleged flaws in Diebold’s electronic voting machines.

"Diebold has threatened a dozen or more ISPs who host websites that publish or link to an email archive that includes emails from Diebold staff confirming flaws in Diebold voting machines and difficulties certifying the systems for actual elections," says the EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation).

Together with the Center for Internet and Society Cyberlaw Clinic at Stanford Law School, the EFF is representing the ISP OPG and Swarthmore students Nelson Pavlosky and Luke Smith.
