UK data on US computers
p2pnet.net News:- Data recovered from a computer in the US held email addresses, passwords, credit card numbers and other confidential information from hacked UK computers.
Britain’s Metropolitan Police Computer Crime Unit says hackers used a backdoor to get the material, stored on more than 2,300 computers, says The Guardian Unlimited.
“Police estimate around 83,000 files in the UK have been targeted by the hackers but it is thought thousands of computer users around the world may have had data stolen.”
Banks and other online services, including ISPs, are being alerted.
