D-Link routers stolen
p2pnet.net News:- D-Link wants you to help it track down 7,200 wireless DWL-922 Wi-Fi starter kits comprising a Broadband Router and USB Adapter.
The kits were stolen in the UK and, “D-Link has evidence that these goods are now being sold in the open market,” it says.
Why should you care?
Because, “This theft is not only a financial loss to D-Link but more importantly causes confusion in the channel and to the market which is why the stolen goods have to be located as soon as possible,” says the company.
If you want to play sleuth on behalf of D-Link, the stolen gear is sold under the model number DWL-922/E and UPC Code 790069285479, found on the bar-code together with the individual serial number label of the retail box. Or see the full list here and if you come across one, here’s the number to call – +44 (0)208 955 9000
D-Link doesn’t say if there’s a reward.
