p2pnet.net News:- On October 11 we ran an item slugged, BT’s Cohen on share ratios.

It centred on a Zeropaid post and at the bottom, included the ZP headline, Bram Cohen Refuses BitTorrent Ratio Exploit Patch.

But in an email to p2pnet, Cohen says, “there isn’t any simple extension to the BitTorrent protocol which would force clients to report upload and download amounts accurately”.

If there was such an extension, he’d seriously consider adding it, he said.

Our story also incorrectly suggested the original article took the form of an interview.

However, in the email, Cohen points out that he didn’t answer any interview questions. Rather, he emphasises, the article was based entirely on two posts - one here and the other, here.

If we’ve inadvertently caused any confusion, we apologise.
