YouTube videos deleted

p2pnet.net News:- Having been recently acquired by Google, YouTube has already fallen prey to major entertainment cartel censorship.

“A total of 29,549 videos were deleted from video streaming site YouTube following a request from copyright-related rights organizations, NHK and other broadcasters, the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC),” says the Mainichi Daily News.

YouTube, “is a site allowing users to freely watch uploaded videos, which include clips from Japanese television programs,” says the story, “but in most cases, permission to post the videos has not been obtained from the copyright holders, and JASRAC and other organizations in Japan view them as a violation of copyright.

The aim of the “collective” was, “apparently intended to underline the seriousness of the problem to YouTube,” it adds.

Apparantly, GooTube hasn’t been doing a good job deleting copyright infringed works. I found Evanescence’s “Call Me When You’re Sober” just fine. Heck, they can’t even maintain Google Video that well either.

Yes, I’ve found that YouTube videos are still online.
Private videos, self removed videos, TOS violations, all of them.

    Hi,
    Good article.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to download these videos.
The thing I am stuck on is how did you figure out that the video was on the ash-v126.ash server?
I don’t see a reference to this anywhere on the page.
Furthermore, the video is not on sjl-static10 like the pictures are. So, what is the connection between where the pictures are located and where the video is stored?

Is there some kind of javascript you run to figure out where to get the video from?

Thank you very much for any help you can provide.
