Fight Club comes to Sweden
p2pnet.net News:- Just about a year ago we did a post on Chuck Palahniuk’s Fight Club - you know, the movie where groups of men meet every night to beat the hell out of each other.
Well, Fight Club has come to Sweden for real.
“Real life fight clubs, where participants pummel each other into submission, are now beginning to spread around the country,” says The Local. Police are now preparing for the first incarnation in Gothenburg on November 11, according to Dagens Nyheter.
But, “Unless someone actually dies as a result of these consensual fights, police are puzzled as to how to approach the issue,” says the story. “They cannot for example prosecute a participant for assault if the victim has agreed to expose himself to the dangers.
The police is currently tryingto figur eout how to tackle the problem, says The Local, adding, “The results of the internal investigation are expected next week.”
Back to our story, behind the Fight Club in Palahniuk’s book is Tyller, who declares:
“Remember this,” Tyler says at one point, “The people you’re trying to step on, we’re everyone you depend on. We’re the people who do your laundry and cook your food and serve your dinner. We make your bed. We guard you while you’re asleep. We drive the ambulances. We direct your call. We are cooks and taxi drivers and we know everything about you. We process your insurance claims and credit card charges.
“We control every part of your life.”
We suggested the executives who run the entertainment and software cartels, and the other corporate control clubs, should have that in neon lights, hanging on the walls in their offices.

Legally speaking, how is this different from joining a boxing gym or dojo?
