RIAA still offline

p2pnet.net News:- Neither RIAA.org nor RIAA.com shall avail thee.

Big Music’s wholly owned US enforcement organ – better known as the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) – is still offline.

It’s been going up and down like a yo-yo since being Mydoomed last month.

For the RIAA site to be down is, however, nothing new. It’s the frequent target of hack-attacks and is oft off.

The RIAA – normally quick to issue puff releases at the slightest excuse – is remarkably quiet.

Hacked or e-bugged? Only The Shadow and the RIAA know.

Well what do you except the Riaa has also been off their Rockers for a long time as well.

For whom is responsible, one would want to applaud the effort to mute the attack dog on the common person. Again an inept industry is outwitted by another cyber genius. For that I salute you.

  3. Reader's Write Says:

Shame they can’t be off the earth as well. If they never come back, the net will be that much better off. Hats off to the net guerillas.

Salute what? Knocking out the website of an enforcement group that dosn’t need to be online to function correctly? That’s like saying you can stop the FBI from running wire taps on the mob by hacking fbi.gov. This isn’t even going to phase their onslaught so don’t get your hopes up.
