G-men at the door
p2pnet.net News:- “Chris Soghoian must be feeling much more secure now that the FBI has shut down his Web site and confiscated his computers,” posts Robert X. Cringely on InfoWorld, going on:
Last week the Indiana University grad student created a site that allowed users to generate fake Northwest Airlines boarding passes. His point: to demonstrate how mind-numbingly easy it is to circumvent airport security. Rather than fix the system, the Feds sent G-men to his door. (I hear they also confiscated a bottle of hair gel and two tubes of toothpaste.)
As DHS honcho Michael Chertoff says, the Internet is the new terrorism training ground. The good news? After our government invades and takes over all our IP addresses, they’ll be greeted as liberators.”

Why did he not just contact the FBI and inform them, he would still have his toothpaste and hair jell.

Totally agree!
If you happen to find a WWII bomb, you call the cops but don’t go out and blow it yourself.
I understand what this guy was coming from but his move was far from a smart one, it was childish and unresponsible, I must add.

What a joke…
This goes to show you, the US gov’t is more concerned with demonstrating control over the population than providing real security.
After all, another terror attack is EXACTLY what the US gov’t wants. Look at how much money was made by certain people after the last attack. They don’t give a crap about killing US citizens any more than they care about killing 650000 Iraqis. The first priority is shoveling tax payer’s money into the hands of their war-profiteering buddies. And they know just how to work the retarded sheeple into a murderous frenzy.

The only way goivernments in the P.S.A. will listen to an individual is if they have a B.S., B.A., M.A., M.S. or PhD. at the end of their names. As far as the governments are concerned, if someone is not a member of that club, they do not know a thing. They do not like it when one of us “ordinary dumb folks” demonstrate their stupidity.
I have seen this sort of thing many times. It is also that same mentality displayed in most large corporations. The old way of doing business and politics WILL be made obsolete if the Internet is allowed to remain free. This is one of the reasons why “Net Neutrality” must be defeated by the establishment. Net neutrality will give common people a voice, and the governemnts and corporations will be forced to listen to that voice.
