MPAA, SIFE anti-p2p movie
p2pnet news view | Kids & Kartels:- The carefully orchestrated, carefully nurtured, long-term corporate scheme to insinuate propaganda experts disguised as ‘educators’ into pre-school, junior and senior classrooms around the world continues, unprotested and unabated.
Spearheading it are the entertainment cartels which collectively own and/or control the bulk of the on- and offline print and electronic media. But close behind them is the software industry.
Now Hollywood’s MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) is using publicly funded schools and their students to dream up 60-second anti-piracy videos.
Its scamming an “anti-piracy public service announcement (PSA) contest among college students in partnership with Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE)”.
Hmmm. Wonder if the results will be as good as a critically acclaimed (by the RIAA) RIAA epic PSA?
Called Campus Downloading, it was a Big Four Organized Music video travesty fronted by EDUCAUSE vp Mark Luker and the Big Four’s RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). It was attacked by a number of public interest organizations in a joint statement.

By ‘anti-piracy’ they basically mean ‘pro-MPAA’, right?
Wouldn’t it be great if someone made a film that whilst highlighting the downsides of piracy, stated a few reasons why people don’t take it seriously…..

Are you a member of either SIFE or the MPAA? Probably not. You have also failed to educate yourself on the topic of piracy. It is a problem that is overwhelming many of the world’s industries. In terms of Film, it isn’t just the celebrities that are losing money. Thousands of people work in the film industry and many are losing their jobs due to piracy. This is a wildly spreading epidemic that will soon enter your work force (or maybe it already has…)
Perhaps you should research the topic of piracy before you begin bashing the efforts to stop it.
