Pirate Vista Ahoy !!!

p2pnet.net News:- Some people won’t have to wait until the end of January next year to get their hands on Microsoft Vista.

“It appears to have been leaked ahead of the downloadable MSDN release and can be found on various torrent sites and the FTPs of unscrupulous individuals,” The Inquirer observes.

Last week it was revealed that Vista, loaded to the gills with various flavours of DRM, had just been passed to Big Business vested interests. So this news doesn’t come as a huge surprise.

But, says the story, “We can’t confirm if the release works, but after a period with ‘nuke’ status on the various nfo sites the release is now unnuked and allegedly proper and working.

“Also to note is that installing from a previous version of Windows will not work stating a read error, suggesting that the release is far from perfect.”

The story doesn’t say whether or not the illegal Vista carries the Robert Fripp intro.

  1. Reader's Write Says:

Who do you think ‘leaked’ it ?
Microsoft has used this method of marketing since the
    very first Windows release.
This is how it got a public, reluctant to try something new,
to embrace Windows in the first place.

That’s why Hollywood ‘leaks’ it’s crap onto the net.
That’s why The Big Music Cartels leak their stuff.

Viral marketing works, and they know it.

Or in the case of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith it was a way to take down suprnova.org

  3. Reader's Write Says:

suprnova? when did they get taken down over sw3?
