Cell phone people tracker
p2pnet.net News:- Allowing people to find you wherever you are is something a company called Loopt believes will be a money maker.
It allows mobile phone users to locate others, says The San Francisco Chronicle.
Offered on Boost Mobile, the service offers a real-time cell-phone map that pinpoints the location of people who’ve agreed to be tracked, “to within 30 feet under peak conditions,” says the story, adding:
“As part of the service, Boost and Loopt will allow users to tag a location and leave a message about that site.”
Loopt calls it “social mapping” saying it uses GPS and other location technology which automatically updates maps on mobile handsets.
It also lets users send messages to “nearby friends” or receive automatic alerts when they’re close.
At the moment, it’s free, but starting next year, the service will cost $3.00 a month, adds The Chronicle.

The sad thing is, that there are those who will truly want this thing.
