China’s very own Internet

p2pnet.net News:- What do Google and China have in common?

They both want their very own internets so they can more efficiently manage Netsters, and what they do online.

Google helps China with the first, as do Yahoo and Microsoft, and with respect to the second, it’s planning what’ll amount to a GoogleNet to facilitate the dissemination of the tsunamis of advertising which make Google what it is today.

Now China has announced the all-encompassing broadband 3TNet to integrate telecom, the Net, radio and TV, says People’s Daily Online.

3Tnet is part of the country’s National 863 Program during the ‘Fifteenth Five’ period, says the story, going on:

“It.has a high speed band-width of more than 41 MBs for every household user, between 5 and 10 times the current bandwidth, and can transfer one thousand trillion bytes per second.

“With this network, it may be possible to combine the three existing networks including the internet, the telegraphic network and the broadcasting TV network. With this technology people will be able to enjoy high resolution TV, digital TV, high quality stereoscopic music, internet services and interactive video dialog through the family TV or PC. Previously these services were provided by each network separately.”

One Response to “China’s very own Internet”

  1. Reader's Write Says:

china is just the first of many to follow. I am sure that soon every continent will have it’s own internet system (pipes as some of our excellent senators call it) that will be separate from the “Internet” but will be able to piggy back onto each other.
