MPAA at Cornell, Oklahoma U

p2pnet.net News:- Hollywood has suborned the Acacia fraternity’s Cornell University chapter and the Sigma Nu chapter at Oklahoma State University.

Both have, “issued statements to members and fraternity house residents condemning the unauthorized uploading and downloading of copyrighted material to and from the Internet,” says the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), owned by the Big Six Hollywood studios.

Acacia’s International Council has also, “formally expressed support for the policy on copyright infringement and circulated the statements to all chapters of their fraternity,” says the studio mouthpiece, going on that, “Sigma Nu’s National Organization has similar plans”.

The MPAA says Acacia and Sigma Nu “offered to help raise awareness about Internet piracy”.
