MPAA nixes Hills Have Eyes poster
p2pnet.net News:- The Hills Have Eyes was/is Wes Craven’s 1977 cult classic, re-made so Hollywood can ream even more bucks out of it.
“It might not have been the ‘great’ film we were all hoping for (Alex Aja remakes a Craven classic!),” posts Rawshark on Eat My Brains, “but The Hills Have Eyes was certainly one of the better genre remakes of the past couple of years, so it was no surprise to see a sequel fast-tracked through production ready for a 2nd March 2007 release in both the US and the UK.”
But Hollywood’s MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) had a hissy fit, banning what MovieWeb describes as a teaser-poster.
“We aren’t sure why, but we remember that the original Saw II poster was banned for having severed fingers on the poster,” says the story.
Officially, the word is ‘rejected,’ says Eat My Brains.
Thank Heavens we have the MPAA looking out for us!
