Old record sells for $155,406
p2pnet.net News:- The old acetate of a Velvet Underground recording which showed up on eBay finally fetched $155,406.
Not bad considering collector Warren Hill from Montreal, Canada, bought it for a song – a mere 75 cents.
Hill found XTV-402122 in New York only four years ago.
It’s said to be the first Velvet Underground recording and features versions of songs Andy Warhol took to various to record labels.
And no, it didn’t have any early DRM.

New records are almost as expensive…. up to a penalty of $150,000 for making a copy. That is what the laws says, and it doesn’t matter to the jerk judges that the laws were passed by the lobbied jerks that perpetuate themselves witht the same lobby money.
Certainly this old record will have to be copied to a CD or an mp3 for it to be listened and for that they will need (per RIAA and the lobbied jerks and the jerk judges) authorization, from both the record label owner and the song copyright holder. Surely these surely be had for another $155 grand apiece.
Isn’t crazy!
