Blogging to flatten out in 2007

p2pnet.net News:- According to Gartner, the blogging “phenomenon” is set to peak in 2007, says the BBC.

Blogging isn’t, however, a phenomenon. It’s part of burgeoning 21st century people-to-people communications movement and it’ll never peak, not even when everyone on the planet is online.

As Stephen Hawking has pointed out, sooner or later (probably sooner) we’ll have to head for the stars and when we do, blogging will be one of the ways we’ll keep in touch and pass on information.

But still, it’s a good marketing hook and Garner has said, “200 million people have already stopped writing their blogs” with Daryl Plummer claiming most people who would ever start a web blog have already done so.

“He said those who loved blogging were committed to keeping it up, while others had become bored and moved on.”
