After all who wants to increase the profits of the cmpetition by sending tem song royalty paymets. It is not to an performer's advantage that he or she be limited to using his or her own's songs. Many performers are not songwriters and need to use the song of other songwriters. It is also an anti-songwriter policyand will cause a downward trend in song quality. Music history has shown that there have been good performers who have been good songwtiters (or the other way around) but these are exceptonal cases. Most good performers are not good songwriters. Dood question here are, why should businesses or record companies determine the repertoire of performers? Shouldn't performers have independence to choose what they are, what the perform? Shoulds door be shut on performes who prefer to perform other songwriter's songs? Enough said about a lousy idea, for both performers and songwriters.
