I'm not sure if that thingy on the back if removable, but I definitely plan to take a look at mine after I finished writing this comment. I have the HD-DVD accessory, which I got for $180 Canadian, and love it. The accessory provided an inexpensive means to get some HD content for my new HDTV. The only thing that I've found annoying is that when connected via component, the Xbox 360 will only output 1080i. This looks pretty good on my television, which itself is 1080p. The only issue is that the television has to deinterlace the signal before displaying the image, and this does read to minor artifacting (jaggies mostly). Being analog, I also get slight ghosting as well, though it is hard to see when I'm siting at the proper viewing distance for a 52" screen. Being able to feed my new television with a digital 1080p signal would make myself, and I'm sure a lot of folks, really happy. The 120GB hard drive? Well that would be great too. I have the 20GB one, and it's way too small to be truly useful, like holding videos or your MP3 collection for example. It will sell really well I'm sure, again as long as it is sold as a separate add-on. PS: To be honest, I didn't really like the Xbox 360 when I originally purchased it. I found the extreme level of greed behind their marketplace highly annoying. As well, the thing really isn't all that great of a media box. The number of formats it supported, it's streaming abilities, how it organized your media, well they were all pathetic. However, thanks to Tveristy, the addition of allowing streaming video, the inexpensive HD-DVD accessory, and some really great games, such as Gears of War, Need For Speed Most Wanted, and the Tom Clancy titles, the thing has really grown on me a lot. So much so that I love it now, and couldn't imagine living without it. If only Microsoft would improve the menu system for media and how it is all organized (copy the Rio Karma please!), I would proclaim the 360 as damn near perfect lol. ;-) This would be great, as long as it can be purchased as an add-on for current-gen Xbox 360’s that most people already own.
