YouTube offline venture
p2pnet.net News:- YouTube is thinking about porting its stuff offline by getting its videos on TV, says The Wall Street Journal.
GooTube, as it would be more properly known since it was bought by Google for $1.65 billion last year, is also working on a new and improved Digital Restrictions Manage consumer control system, apparently.
It would, “allow content owners to better control their content by either blocking it, or charging for it if they so desire,” says the story.
The WSJ doesn’t say if ‘content owners’ includes Bill and Betty’s beach-party video, the one they shot in Acapulco when Bill snorts beer through his nose when he finds out Betty is really Bob in disguise.
