ed2k-it back online
p2pnet.net News:- ed2k-it has the distinction of being sued by Hollywood’s MPAA and it’s been offfline for the last couple of weeks.
Something dire, like gone forever? But No.
Here’s what you see when you head over to the site >>>>>
After 2 weeks of downtime, ed2k-it.com is now back online. Yes, ed2k-it.com is being sued by the MPAA, along with a number of other websites. ed2k-it.com now joins the family of isoHunt.com and TorrentBox.com under new management. ed2k-it.com continues to run as before, and it’s my pleasure to continue the community that have called this home.
For the lawsuit, it’s still ongoing against the original site owner. For us, I would like to reiterate our policies from isoHunt.com and TorrentBox.com. We do not condone infringements against the wishes of its copyright owners. For example, refer to isoHunt.com’s copyright policy, and we work with copyright owners everyday in processing their takedown requests. If you are a copyright owner and sees copyright infringing links to your content, send an email to
, with URLs to the pages where you found such links.
That said, this site continues to be the premier place for sharing ed2k links to files of any nature, and we encourage you to do so. Here’s some new stuff you maybe interested in.
* #ed2k-it on irc.P2P-IRC.net, our new IRC channel! You need a chat client like mIRC of course, SSL enabled on port 7000. Come, chat and chill out.
* isoHunt Releases, which supports ed2k links as well as a number of other P2P links, including torrents. You maybe a nice interface for you to group and post.
* TorrentBox.com, a fast BitTorrent tracker and friendly community. Check it out if you haven’t!
Stay tuned.

big deal, so what. what difference does it make? it doesnt. ever since ed2k-it (with the original administrators) first closed its doors it lost a lot of support users. when it did re-open its doors under new management many were wary while others simply refused to use it, stating that it was some sort of conspiracy or that it was run secretly by the MPAA or other organization to attempt and stamp out the users by suing them. and with ed2k-it still being sued, we dont know the outcome of the trial and what if its to hand over all the records of its users and such forth? well whoever had used it would really be in serious trouble. the original administrator (who was the first to close its doors) had destroyed the whole user database, all that was preserved was the site structure itself not the users or ip logs.
many sites apply to a rule, lets better yet call it a law. a law that states once a site is dead it should remain dead. if something that was once good dies and then comes back to life it had already lost most of its prestige, and users no longer care as much for it and simply have moved on to bigger and better things. sharereactor was a miss, it had come online and offline numerous times and still today it sits there broken. shareconnector also came back online, but it also didn’t have much hype about its return. if one takes a look on its poll whether shareconnector should return, 60.01% (875) had voted no, while only 39.99% (583) voted yes. along with the death of lord_anubis shareconnector will no longer be as great as it once was.
lets face it, sharereactor was a great site, when it fell, shareconnector became great, then after its fall, things dispersed a bit and if to rank all the sites they all came close, but ed2k-it stood out the most, after its run it was the last major ed2k site to fall, then came bittorrent and then with its losses. tell me, is suprnova great as it was in the old days? no its not, its just a news site now.
