European firms hard hit by e-bugs

p2pnet.net News:- Small businesses in Europe – that’s to say firms with 20 employees or fewer – are being crippled by virus attacks.

Twenty-two percent of the 14 million such organizations across western Europeare are closing down to recover from recent attacks, says a Reuters story here.

“The worst hit countries were France and Italy where 50 percent and 30 percent of small businesses respectively were brought to a standstill by outbreaks,” it states, going on that according to Network Associates, each Internet virus attack costs the companies 5,000 euros ($6,090) in lost output and clean-up.
