Anshe Chung sex chat business

p2pnet.net News:- Anshe Chung, aka Ailin Graef, makes real money in the virtual Second Life world, and when unadmirers embarrassed her real-time with a display of floating penises during a pseudo-interview, she and her husband angrily tried to use the DMCA to put a stop to resultant reports which apeared in the Sydney Morning Herald, among other media.

They also had the video taken off GooTube.

But, “this much-hyped online business, which made the front cover of BusinessWeek magazine, got its start in online sex chat,” says Valleywag. “An ad for her services, after the jump.

“How do we know? An ad from 2004 … offers adult services such as ‘black mistress/ and ‘ghost control’.”

It continues:

One resident of Second Life remembers Anshe Chung working as an ‘escort’ out of Cannabis Cathedral in Linden Lab’s virtual world. This, a reminder, the character described by BusinessWeek as a virtual land baroness, the Rockefeller of Second Life.

Before anyone gets too excited, escort services in Second Life involve going to a restricted area, and watching sexy or kinky 3D animations, while the escort talks dirty. It’s a combination of porn and sex chat. Escorts never typically meet their clients, and many customers go for the novelty or amusement, rather than sexual gratification.

But the magazines and newspapers which have hyped up Second Life, and the virtual world’s “real estate baroness”, have glossed over the truth of the Benchmark-backed virtual world. And Anshe Chung’s creators, Ailin and Guntram Graef, have obscured her original function, and threatened libel action against their online critics.

As for Guntram and Ailin, “they’ve been extremely sensitive to criticism, most recently having a video removed from Youtube because it showed giant penises disrupting a press conference Anshe Chung was giving in the virtual world,” adss Valleywag.

“They’ve used the media to hype up the value of their online ‘real estate’ holdings.

“But, with the attention, comes greater scrutiny. Which is fine, unless one has something to hide, like a sex chat business.”

Slashdot Slashdot it!
