Flash Player 9 for Linux
p2pnet.net News:- Adobe Systems has at last released Flash Player 9 for Linux.
It was available for Windows and Mac OS X more than six months ago.
“Linux developers can now create, test and deploy rich internet applications on the open source platform using the free Adobe Flex 2 Software Developers Kit, Adobe Flash Player 9 and the free Flex Data Services 2 Express” says vnunet.com.

But many who are committed to using FOSS software won’t want to use the official player, so this probably won’t see much acceptance other than by the Windows-substitute crowd.
Hopefully, this release will allow the gnash project and related efforts at free Flash players to step up compatibility for Flash files past version 6.
