Now, a Wii Disc Dumper!
p2pnet.net News:- Checking out Digg a couple of days back, “I stumbled upon a link to a Wii Disc Dumper,” says Vince Veneziani on Crunchgear.
He goes on:
“No, this isn`t a disgusting scat video of Mario with diarrhea, it`s a small program that, when combined with the proper DVD drive in a PC, can dump the raw contents of a Wii Game Disc to your hard drive.
Apparently, you need an LG-8164b or LG-8163b DVD-ROM drive to make this work and the process takes over 50 hours to complete.
“Sure it takes awhile,” says Veneziani.
“But think of all the pirated scene release copies backups you`ll be able to make!”

Unlike the music and movie markets, video games (excluding retro systems and games) are largely unaffected by piracy. This is mostly because some systems check information on the disc that cannot be copied onto another DVD, encrypt the disc in a manner other than using CSS, or use a proprietary file system or file format. In addition, emulators for sixth and seventh generation games would not be able to play titles at native speed because the specifications for those consoles are too high for their host systems. It would also be difficult to control these games, although USB adapters for console controllers do exist. However, in the case of the Wii, it would be impossible to play Wii titles on the PC because of the unique control required by those games.

Dumping the disc doesn’t mean you have to play it on the pc…
