Phishers rob Swedish accounts
p2pnet.net News:- Phishers have robbed customers of Swedish bank Nordea of $1.1 million, says The Register, quoting Computer Sweden.
The attack has so far affected at least 250 customers with the accounts of 121 others under examination, it says, going that Nordea has confirmed the attacks, but hadn`t until now made the news public.
Swedish police say they are still receiving reports of losses to the scam, says The Register, adding:
“The Trojan is activated when customers enter their log-in details. An error message appears and the details are sent to the phishers in the US and Russia. In some cases large amounts of money were taken from the accounts. Nordea managed to cancel some of the transactions. The bank says it will compensate all victims of the attacks.”
