GEMA lands on Usenext.de
p2pnet.net News:- German rights collection agency GEMA has won a preliminary injunction against usenet provider Usenext.de, says P2P Blog.
It gained similar injunctions against data exchange services www.rapidshare.de and www.rapidshare.com last Friday.
This latest ruling bars Usenext from offering GEMA repertoire and specifically targeting users of file sharing platforms, says the story, adding:
“Usenext is one of several commercial usenet providers that have become popular in recent years. The company is based in London and Munich and has specifically been targeting P2P communities and related websites with ads that promise free and anonymous downloads of MP3s, videos and software.”
