Vieux Farka Touré remix contest
p2pnet.net News:- Malian guitarist, singer, songwriter and percussionist Vieux Farka Touré, son of the late Ali Farka Touré, is offering audio source files from his song ‘Ana’ online under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial license so anyone, anywhere, can use the sounds in remixes and new compositions.
You’re invited to download the tracks and create your own versions with Eric Herman and Jesse Brenner of Modiba Productions, and Derek Beres of Global Beat Fusion, selecting the best remix.
The winner will be included on Modiba Productions`’Vieux Remixed’ CD compilation.
If you want to get into this, download the separated audio elements of Ana and upload your remix to ccMixter between February 7 and and March 7.
All entries must be licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 2.5 license under which the public can legally make copies of, or distribute, and create derivative works from, the remixes. The original authors must be credited and the remixes can’t be used for commercial purposes.
