2,360 kiddie porn suspects
p2pnet.net News:- News of Austria’s largest-ever kiddie porn case has broken following investigations into what’s being described as an international child pornography network involving more than 2,360 suspects from 77 countries.
Last July an Austrian ISP told police eight unauthorised video files had been uploaded to its server from London, says the BBC.
They were posted by an Austrian company and although no arrests have yet been made, local authorities are sharing their information with foreign investigators, says the story, going on:
“Twenty-three suspects were being questioned, Austrian officials said, and arrest warrants might soon be issued. Fourteen of them have confessed to downloading the material. The youngest person implicated was 17 and the oldest was 69. They included students, government employees and retired people.”
The FBI is investigating some 600 suspects in the US, German authorities are following leads on at least 400 people, France is looking into about 100 more and Britain is investigating 72 people, says the BBC.
