<description>It does not matter what DRM used to mean. What is important is what it mean now: enslavment of the consumer.

The consumers told them loud and clear to go and Fuck themselves with there DRMed shit and obviously they were stupid enought to do just that.

Now any code or system that put restriction on a digital content is and will be regarded with suspicion.

The entertainement parasites at Vivendi/Universal, Sony/BMG, EMI and time warner made it so; not us the consumer or the artist.

It is like the word &quot;Pirates&quot; Pirates use to design bandits at sea. Now it&#039;s mean most of us and you know what? Now it is cool to be a pirate! Pirate parties and groups are proliferating. &quot;Crack this DRM&quot; game is the coolest!

The worst thing they did was suing their customers. How foolish! Now the sale of CD is in free fall and the sale of digital content is going nowhere. Boycott!

DVD DRM is cool and consumer friendly? Well! We need to backup or DVD! This is why the DVD DRM was cracked is cracked and will be cracked.

The reason for a society to exist is to help the individual within the society to live. The reason for companies to exist is to serve these societies and their public. Once a society cease to help the live of a large majority of members it colapses. Once a company stop serving it customers and beging only serving themself it dissapear.

This is why Vivendi Universal/ BMG/Sony, EMI and Time Warner will dissapear.

<description>Again, Jobs has been talking to these guys about copy protection for a while. It took them more than two years to negotiate the first deal and DRM was a definitely sticking point. For God&#039;s sake, why don&#039;t the editor refer it&#039;s contributing journalists to the RollingStone interview of 2003. There seem to be some systematic misinformation being put out.

Second, John Lech has a vested interest in DRM, something he alludes to, but doesn&#039;t quite state outright. DRM is the crux of his new business model and if it were to go, he will have lost his investers quite a bit of money. Google DoubleTwist, it&#039;s his company for making propriety DRM work across multiple devices.

In the end, those against DRM must state so clearly, without excuse. The fact is, Jobs is going to make money, however we feel about it. We can&#039;t back track on DRM now simply because Jobs has some masterplan to make lots of money from DRM-free music - which I&#039;m sure he does!
