I don't understand your cxomment about NOT being able to take a laptop with you anywhere you go. I would. MUCH better than staring at some tiny screen on a phone!

I have a phone/PDA. Its good for finding info on the go. Just helps to pass the time sometimes. To surf the web whatever. And with an expandable card it can be used as a mobile media center also. Mp3, videos, podcast, movies etc. I have a 1gb card and can fit lots onto it. A 700mb movie can be compressed to 175mb. And the amount of applications and games taht can go on are way better then other phones. Mine has wifi so I dont have to use the networks (telus) connectuion cause taht can be very expensive. And its not hard to find unsecured wireless now adays. Although its main use is still a phone why not have more options for the same price. Cant always take a laptop with you. By the way mine is the UTStarcom 6700. 1.3 digital camera with video sound, wifi, expandable minisd, sliding keyboard, touchscren etc.

Just liek with anything I dont know if I would upgrade yet to 6.

I never understood why anyone would want to use a PDA for anything other than organization. Seriously, it's got to be much more rewarding to surf the Web with a laptop. The best you could effectively pull off with a PDA is probably instant messaging, and even that is unnecessary as this is offered on some mobile phones already (assuming that the phone and PDA are not one in the same).
