Why not do both: boycott *AND* the “Tea Party”. Surely THAT should garner SOME attention from these greedy **AAs. Just my $.02 worth.

Why don’t we start a “Tea Party” of sorts and if we are going to boycott then WRITE the **AAs telling them so. I mean snail-mail NOT e-mail. FLOOD their postal boxes so hard they’ll get the idea that all that mail COULD be money IF the wised up enough to stop the sue ‘em all camPAIN as well as wising up enough to put a stop to DMCA/DRM/ect. ad infinitum-ad nauseum.

This isn’t hard to do at all. I started a personal boycott of the major labels (not the RIAA itself) the day they started sue’em all. I don’t believe in buying from companies and corporations whose business policies I don’t agree with. I strongly disagree with the sue’em all and the group from the MPAA’s representatives joined that personal boycott when they started.

These acronym organizations are nothing more than one of the heads of the body. Stick it to the main body and the heads will die with it. It is the body, the cartels themselves you deny the money to. Never forget the **AAs are nothing but a lightning rod so that your ire won’t be directed at the cartels.

So hit them where it hurts and don’t stop with a month. Continue it right on. They do understand lack of profits clearly.

If we can get EVERYONE to do without buying music at all in ANY form for a WHOLE month (…personally, I think it should be until DRM is TRUELY dead. I haven’t had any adverse affects from not buying music for over 7 years now. NO I don’t even “pirate” it. That defeats the purpose of a boycott. THINK about it!),,, but just abstain from buying music for just ONE stinking month should at least get $OME of the attention of the RIAA.

As for the artists: If they are Stupid/Greedy enough to BELONG to the RIAA in the FIRST place, then they DESERVE what they get…BOYCOTTED, too!!!!!!!!!!!! Pressuring artists to LEAVE the RIAA will further cripple the RIAA even MORE as these “artists” leave the RIAA like the sinking ship it is!
