UK Morons:

You limey British scum deserve higher prices from our great American monopoly Microsoft. The UK has loved the openly socialist Tony Blair for many years. I understand you are scanning, fingerprinting, and spying on school children every day in your sick nation. You British scum should have never been saved from Hitler by us Americans. You are a nation of British socialist scum. May you enjoy the tyranny of 1984 (written by a BBC reporter). Britain is a socialist nation, and you are no longer welcomed in the USA.

P.S. I'm so happy to know the Founding Fathers kicked the British out of this country 225 years ago.

Microsoft is probably trying to recover money that it lost in all of the antitrust litigation in that part of the world. It may be in effect punishing people in that area for daring to stand up to its bullying tactics. If this is the case, then Microsoft is cutting its own throat.

Rather than petitioning Microsoft to bring down its prices, it would be better to petition the UK government to mandate that all government used software be compatible with Linux and other operating systems. Another thing to petition UK government for is to stop Microsoft from penalizing vendors who publish and support Linux drivers. The best way to defeat price gouging is by having a free market that allows competition.
