Alexandrinsky theater pollution
p2pnet.net news:- Russia’s historic Alexandrinsky theater, founded in 1756 in St. Petersburg, has a serious noise pollution problem.
Cell phones.
So it’s installed equipment to ‘censor’ calls.
“Plays, operas, ballets and films in Russia are routinely punctuated by the trilling of cell phones and many patrons are unashamed about chatting in defiance of terse warnings to turn phones off at the start of the evening,” says Itar-Tass, quoted by Reuters.
Not only in Russia.
Anyway, the theater now has “rather expensive” equipment designed to block cell phone signals, says the story.

Use emails, snail-mail, phone calls, faxes, IM, stop them in the street, blog. And if you’re into organizing, organize petitions, organize demonstrations and then turn up on your local political rep’s doorstep, making sure you’ve contacted your local tv/radio station/newspaper in advance. Don’t just complain. Do something!
