Apple patches QuickTime holes
p2pnet.net news:- Were you aware there are “numerous” bugs in Apple’s QuickTime movie application, not to mention an unstated number of “critical” security issues?
Apparently, that’s the case, says the company. But not to worry because they’ve all been fixed with the release of QuickTime 7.1.5.
But, “QuickTime 7 will disable the QuickTime Pro functionality in prior versions of QuickTime, such as QuickTime 5 or QuickTime 6,” says Apple.
If you “proceed with this installation” [and how could you not?] you’ll have to buy a new QuickTime 7 Pro key, “to regain QuickTime Pro functionality,” says Apple.
It doesn’t say much much the key costs.
Apple has also released iTunes 7.1. It now includes support for the Apple TV, slated for release later this month.

Use emails, snail-mail, phone calls, faxes, IM, stop them in the street, blog. And if you’re into organizing, organize petitions, organize demonstrations and then turn up on your local political rep’s doorstep, making sure you’ve contacted your local tv/radio station/newspaper in advance. Don’t just complain. Do something!
