Well if more and more businesses and government branches along with ordinary consumers refuse to buy Vista, this could hurt Microsoft in the long run.

Vista is getting a REAL bad reputation for it's incompatibility and I see it as only getting worse as time goes on.

I hope the NEXT OS that Microsoft plans to make.... they tell the entertainment cartels to STUFF IT! If they don't , then get ready for a repeat.

Microsoft released Vista just to force us to buy new stuff. It's been mentioned before. They forgot to include useful reasons for upgrading.

Here's just a couple of links:

If business ever upgrades it'll be after service pack 1. Everybody knows you don't buy MS first release versions.

Yes, a sows ear is still a sows ear. Calling it by another name doesn't change that. More and more Vista appears to be of the same caliber as ME. A still born unlikely to make much headway by choice.

It doesn't seem like business is interested in going to Vista. Too many problems are in the way, mostly concerning compatibly and upgrade costs. Since business is where the money is, M$ has missed the boat on this one in kowtowing to the entertainment cartels. They made the cartels happy but have in essence lost the market as no one else wants it.

The only way this is getting out into the public is by new computer sales. Has anyone noticed you can't buy much in the line of new computers today? You can be sure everyone from computer makers to hardware makers are in for some lean times for the now. They can give the things away and can't make new ones until the hardware makers all catch up.

Nice planning there M$, you missed the boat as well as the deadline.
