p2pnet reader’s survey
p2pnet.net news:- There’s a new box on the left of the page flashing ‘Reader’s Survey’, and a rotating banner top right doing the same. They’re links to a p2pnet survey I’ll be running for the new few weeks.
p2pnet has been online since 2002 and a lot of things have changed since then. I’ve survived several potential shut-downs and within the next two or three months you’ll see a brand new look and I’d like to get your help in making sure the content stays relevant. With that in mind, I’d really appreciate it if you’d answer as many of the questions as you can. And I will, of course, run a post on the results.
p2pnet has never been entrepreneurial, a business. It’s a committment and it always will be. But to survive, it has to pay for itself. I’m still producing everything single-handed but I badly need some help, and help doesn’t come free. That means getting funds which in turns means acquiring more advertising. And advertisers always want to know who’s reading. Information from you will help to answer some of their questions.
p2pnet is an open content news site, it always has been, and that’s the way it’ll stay. I don’t know the identities of people who visit the site or who leave comments. Responding to the survey will provide background information. Nothing more.
As I say on the privacy page, “There’s no hidden fine print in teeny weeny letters, no opting out of something you’d never have agreed to in the first place if only you’d known about it. Your user rights and privacy aren’t being violated or invaded in any way.” And everything that applies on the privacy page also applies to the survey.
Cheers! And thanks a lot for your help …
Jon

Am I blind, or is the US missing from the “What Country” box?

You’re not blind. There was an incomplete drop-down box.
Thanks for pointing that out.
Cheers!

The pic on the right was just that: a picture to show what the box on the right looked like. It wasn’t a link, as some people thought.
Sorry about that and I’ve now replaced it : )
Cheers!
