p2pnet.net news:- An obviously high-priced, pro-made video featuring the would-be next president of America, Hilary Clinton, is currently capturing world attention on YouTube.
“It may be the most stunning and creative attack ad yet for a 2008 presidential candidate – one experts say could represent a watershed moment in 21st century media and political advertising,” says The San Francisco Chronicle, going on:
“Yet the groundbreaking 74-second pitch for Democratic Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, which remixes the classic ‘1984′ ad that introduced Apple computers to the world, is not on cable or network TV, but on the Internet.”
Looking somewhat like out-takes from the 1927 movie Metropolis, it has ranks of obviously brain-dead drones getting The Word from Hilary, and running through it all is a female athlete with Obama on her track vest.
But, Obama’s camp, “distanced itself from the ad,” says The Boston Herald, quoting spokeswoman Jen Psaki as declaring, “The campaign was not involved in any way in the creation or production of the Web ad.”
It’s a, “sophisticated new take on director Ridley Scott’s controversial Apple ad that caused shock waves with its premiere during the 1984 Super Bowl, and shows the same blond young female athlete running with a sledgehammer toward a widescreen – where an ominous Big Brother figure drones to a mass of zombielike followers,” says the Chronicle.
Now, “With the Internet providing a forum for ordinary voters, there is certain to be many more homegrown attack ads, and they’re only going to get tougher as the campaign trail continues,” the Herald quotes Tobe Berkovitz, associate dean at Boston University’s college of communication, as saying, and adding:
“It’s a free-for-all. There’s going to be campaigning going on that almost no one has any control over.”

Tired of being treated like a criminal? They depend on you, not the other way around. Don’t buy their ‘product’. Do bug your local politicians. Use emails, snail-mail, phone calls, faxes, IM, stop them in the street, blog. And if you’re into organizing, organize petitions, organize demonstrations and then turn up on your local political rep’s doorstep, making sure you’ve contacted your local tv/radio station/newspaper in advance. Don’t just complain. Do something!

I’ve seen this video, and the same one that’s attacking Obama as well. Seems there are some very creative people out there. This should be a *very* interesting election.

No way would I vote for Billary! Obama’s got MY vote all the way. …And, NO, I’m not ‘Black’. I just do NOT like Hilary Clinton and I do recall all the crooked realestate dealings she was involved with during Bill’s Presidency as well as the fact that the Oklahoma Bombing took place at the EXACT moment that the verdict was being read by the Judge in Bill’s IMPEACHMENT case….for getting a simple BLOW JOB on his ‘tube steak’.
And just look at what the Republicans have done to this country! They have the unmitigated audacity to blame it on Clinton! At least while Bill was in office we didn’t have the 3rd HIGHEST Deficit in US history and we didn’t have him on TV telling us that this war is going to continue on long enough for it to be “our childrens’ children’s war”.
THINK about this stuff when you DO go to the polls and VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW: I consider myself an ‘Independant’ voter. I do NOT affiliate myself with ANY ‘political party’. I DO, however, realize the cold hard fact that voting for ANY party is like playing “Russian Roulette”. BUT(T) because there is no other party strong enough to actually beat the Repukes or the Democraps, those two are the only ‘viable’ “choices” we have.
We ALL MUST get out an VOTE in every single election ranging all the way from the grass roots local levels up to the final votes Congress, The Senate and ESPECIALLY the “Presidency” to make our voices HEARD!!!!!!!
We ALL MUST do EVERYTHING we can to get OUR Country BACK and to put the Constitution and Bill of Rights back the way they were BEFORE the Bushes started ripping them to shreds! …maybe even back to before ‘Reaganomics’ came into being………

What is the matter with everybody? Didn’t anyone compare this to the original Apple ad? This Clinton version is just the same spot, with her picture on the screen and her voice mixed in. Way too much credit is given to the “creator” of this new version. With comments like “obviously high-priced, pro-made” and “Looking somewhat like out-takes from the 1927 movie Metropolis”, you really owe it to yourself and your readers to go to YouTube and look at the original Apple ad, which was directed by Ridley Scott (who also did “Aliens” and “Blade Runner”)
