Just try to buy a new PC with anything BUT vista.

You can't

Of course sales will be good if that pesky little thing
called 'choice' is removed from the equation.

quote"Unless I buy a totally new computer, I think I will pass on this as not being worth the price. Too little bang for the buck."

I will not buy a new PC unless I can tell them to either put XP or Linux on it. If the company doesn't do that for me, then they do not want my business.

This is another fluff piece to get the customer to jump on the bandwagon. Trying to give the idea that everyone is getting it and you should to.

The part failed to be mentioned is that the amount of PC users have doubled since the days of the issuing of XP with the prices of computers continually dropping over that time span. When taking in to effect the rise in computer users, Vista is only doing half as well as the rose colored glasses show.

M$ knows they have a problem with this OS. Both in convincing the average computer user to upgrade and businesses they should get it. With the heavy purchase price for the premium upgrade and the likelyhood that anyone buying this OS will also have to spend additional money in hardware upgrades to get the best quality in sound and visuals the savvy computer user isn't just running out to grab it up. There are too many bugs in it at present to make it worthwhile. There are also too many DRM wrappings in it to encourage the average user to take it.
