Harry Potter train wreck
p2pnet.net OT news:- The train used as the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter movies has been deliberately damaged by 10 kids aged between 12 and 14, say reports.
In the stories and films, the Hogwarts Express leaves from platform 9 3/4 at London’s King’s Cross station, but the vandals caused close to $100,00 worth of damage to the Hogwarts train and others, says the train’s owner, West Coast Railways (WCR).
“A spokesman for British Transport Police said that the youths had been arrested after 337 windows were smashed on various trains at the West Coast Railway Company Depot in Carnforth, Lancashire,” says the Press Association.
The youths have been released on police bail, “pending further inquiries,” says the story.
“The train is frequently hired out to Warner Bros for use in the Harry Potter films and this is the second time it has been attacked,” says The Telegraph.
“In September 2003, graffiti was sprayed on a carriage as the train was parked near Scarborough, North Yorkshire.”
