Tired of being treated like a criminal? They depend on you, not the other way around. Don’t buy their ‘product’. Do bug your local politicians. Use emails, snail-mail, phone calls, faxes, IM, stop them in the street, blog. And if you’re into organizing, organize petitions, organize demonstrations and then turn up on your local political rep’s doorstep, making sure you’ve contacted your local tv/radio station/newspaper in advance. Don’t just complain. Do something!

  1. Reader's Write Says:

The websites that I looked at are all polluted with flash. If that’s the kind of stuff that wins awards, we’re doomed.

  2. Reader's Write Says:

And did you recognize any of the sites? ;P

    Cheers!

  3. Reader's Write Says:

Polluted with Flash? Sounds to me like you’re a linux loving computer geek who only liked to read? Flash can add greatly to a website when it’s used correctly!

The CNMA awards is not just about websites… Look at the finalists! It’s about all sorts of different applications from Kiosks to interactive exhibits to cellphone communication to video games! There are Applicants who showcase DVD projects and videogame developers who supply Games for the XBOX and Playstation! It’s too bad you’re basing your opinions on “ewww, the websites use Flash”.

Let me guess, you’d rather play an HTML game of Pong rather than a good Flash game with multiplayer support simply because it’s flash? The world is changing! Get used to it!

For a better time bitching, head on over to the “Flash in the Can” Festival where it’s all about Flash, the CNMA is much broader than that.
