p2pnet RIAA poll ends today
p2pnet.net news:- For two weeks ending yesterday (April 21) we ran a p2pnet online survey called the Sultans of Spin, centred on Warner Music, EMI, Vivendi Universal and Sony BMG’s RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).
We’ll be posting the final results tomorrow. With luck, this’ll include the raw data, under a Creative Commons license.
For now, of the 1,080 people who answered the question Do you share files online? – 69.1% (746) did. And of the 1,077 responses to Have the RIAA sue ‘em all lawsuits persuaded you to stop sharing? – 94.1% (1,013) said No.
We also asked, Do you know anyone who’s received an RIAA subpoena?
Of the 1,078 replies, No, said 91.7% (988).
Stay tuned ….
Cheers!
Jon
