p2pnet.net news:- US presidential wannabes are getting ready to invade CyberSpace.
En masse.
The Huffington Post says it’s hired Yahoo and the Washington Post’s Slate to help it host two online-only debates, “one for Democratic candidates and a second for Republican contenders, to take place after the Labor Day holiday in early September,” says Reuters.
Voters, “will be invited to submit questions, and can blog in real time to share their opinions on the candidates’ answers,” says Associated Press, going on:
“Yahoo, the largest provider of online news, will host the debates and provide the technological expertise to produce them.
“Candidates will be able to participate from far-flung locations, speaking and interacting with one another before separate video cameras. The video will also appear on the Slate and Huffington Post Web sites.”

Tired of being treated like a criminal? They depend on you, not the other way around. Don’t buy their ‘product’. Do bug your local politicians. Use emails, snail-mail, phone calls, faxes, IM, stop them in the street, blog. And if you’re into organizing, organize petitions, organize demonstrations and then turn up on your local political rep’s doorstep, making sure you’ve contacted your local tv/radio station/newspaper in advance. Don’t just complain. Do something!
