Google kills malicious AdWords
p2pnet.net news:- Virus writers have been using Google’s paid-for AdWords links to infect users with malware.
However, Google has identified and canceled AdWords accounts displaying ads that re-directed users to malicious sites, it promises, declaring on a blog, also stating:
“We are also evaluating our systems to ensure that the appropriate measures are in place to block future attempts.”
Exploit Prevention Labs says it discovered one of the rogue links was the Number 1 sponsored link when people entered the phrase BetterBusinessBureau.
“Lots of links in any search engine point to infective sites, so that’s not really a surprise, but this does highlight a significant issue,” said Exploit Prevention Labs cto Roger Thompson.
