Murder threats at US school
p2pnet.net news:- A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of hoaxers who, last Thursday, posted email messages threatening a massacre at Pennsylvania’s Delaware County Community College, like the one at Virginia Tech.
The email forced school authorities to close the institution.
The DCCC, slated to re-open today, says it’s working with with the FBI, District Attorneys’ offices in Delaware and Chester Counties and local police departments to find the malicious pranksters and will prosecute whoever is responsible “to the fullest extent of the law”.
It’s asking anyone with information should call 610-692-5100.
The email threat that was made to the DCCC Downingtown and Exton campuses.
“At this point, the heightened concern and risk that these threats generated have dissipated, and the DCCC campuses are as safe as those of other schools of like size and configuration throughout the country,” says Chester County district attorney Joseph W. Carroll on the school site.
There will be a :visible police presence at all campuses, in addition to the College’s existing Security officers,” says the post, going on:
Access to all campuses will be limited.
Anyone reporting to any College location is not permitted to bring bags, backpacks or other parcels into our buildings. Clear plastic bags may be used to carry personal items. Random searches will be conducted and metal detectors will be utilized.
All students and College employees will be called upon to remain vigilant and report suspicious behavior on the part of any individual to College Security or the police immediately.

Tired of being treated like a criminal? They depend on you, not the other way around. Don’t buy their ‘product’. Do bug your local politicians. Use emails, snail-mail, phone calls, faxes, IM, stop them in the street, blog. And if you’re into organizing, organize petitions, organize demonstrations and then turn up on your local political rep’s doorstep, making sure you’ve contacted your local tv/radio station/newspaper in advance. Don’t just complain. Do something!

That’s terrible. They aren’t even doing that at Virginia Tech!
There were swarms of state troopers around though, however it appears that most of them have left by now. I think only about one or two remain to guard the crime scene at Norris Hall.
