A half truth equals a whole lie. I have been reading today about how they are taking people off MYSpace. I wonder why. they say one in five children are sexually approached on line. Really and by who? What they forgot to say it was by other teens mostly and the adults were very very few. So given that take the computers away from the kids. Problem solved. Have you looked at MYSpace? They advertise and even encourage cheating on your spouse.They have a dating service that you can sigh up with to do just that. And they are so moral? I think its time we took a long look at the truth and the put a spin on half truths. Really its in many ways a site that promotes immoral behavior to make money off it and they really don’t want all their swingers to be afraid that they might have sex with a sex offender. Ok now that even sounds stupid to me as i say it but that’s the way it is. Parents take a look at where your kids are on line. If you want them to hang out in a unsafe environment then don’t cry when they find a way to get into some kind of trouble. Also if MYSpace wasn’t worried about some kind of back lash they wouldn’t even care. Make it against the law for minors to go to places like that. They can’t go to bars so why not this. Also if you hook up with a sex offender and get hurt that’s not the sites responsibility. Given that 95 percent of the new offences are first time offenders and not on any list how comfortable do you feel now.

The use of the girlfriend’s account is a classic example of how stupid it is to attack problems in society from the top down. There’s a reason the word “grassroots” exists–because change must come from the roots, not from the flowers and leaves that emerge FROM those roots. Politicians who want to minimize new sex crimes will work on solutions such as anonymous therapy for potential offenders that can help to prevent them from falling down the slippery slope of sexual deviance. Politicians who only seek votes, however, pass laws that appeal to the voters’ emotions (or conversely, vote “yes” for bad laws that can be construed to make them look bad later if they vote “no”).

He needs to clear his computer of cookies. He also needs to lie about his date of birth as well as his address. It is a damned shame that people have to be forced to live like this. Persecuted people on (unconstitutional) sex offender registries seem to me to be ripe candidates for recruitment by this county’s enemies. The government can only stalk and harrass some people for only so long before they snap! IF someone is so dangerous that they have to have 24 hour monitoring like the U.S. does with these people, they they should have been sentence to a longer term in prison! There are dngers with government playing with the Constitution. I WILL eventually bite the government in the ass.
