Ah! George and his gang are copyright infringers, and they are dead set on criminilizing copyright infringement.

Please, someone tell George W. that before trying to send infringers to jail, he should make sure the people that represent him (his staff) are not poluted with infringers criminals.

infringe means to transgress or exceed the limits of;
infringe means to go against, as of rules and laws

Claiming to own copyrights when in fact the owner is the public is copyright infringement because the right of the public is infringed.

Last year I visited a museum in Halifax, NS and was told “no photography” of the exhibits. I asked if not using flash would be OK, and was told “no, everything here is under copyright”.

I politely tried to argue that ancient Roman/Egyptian sculpture and friezes were most definitely in the public domain by now, as were 19th century paintings. This only resulted in blank looks and a guard following me around in the otherwise-empty museum.
