Kazaa ‘raid’ appeal expedited
p2pnet.net News:- Kazaa owner Sharman Networks’ application for leave to appeal the Anton Piller ruling handed down by Judge Murray Wilcox of the Federal Court of Australia on March 4, is to be expedited.
Big Music pseudo-cops used the Piller order to raid the Sydney homes and business offices of Kazaa owners and employees.
Wilcox recently ordered that seized documents be sorted by an independent law firm and a forensics expert so material not covered in the Anton Pillar order – which gave the music industry the power to conduct the raids – is excluded.
Now the Federal Court of Australia says a panel of three judges will be appointed to hear the application.
Dates will be set soon.
