Those bozos in Hollywood didn't "con" anyone. What they did was roll in truckloads of money to bribe Canada's politicians, the same way they have been doing with U.S. politicians for years. You can actually sympathize with someone who has been conned, it implies they were victimized. There is nothing sympathetic about anyone who accepts graft, the only victims here are Canadian citizens who got screwed by their "representitives".
