Microsoft goes after mums
p2pnet.net news:- Bill and the Boyz have already, “won over 20-year-old gamers, who spend hours a day launching rockets and firing plasma guns on the company’s Xbox 360,” says Bloomberg News.
Now they’re going after their mothers.
“To lure them, the world’s largest software maker says it plans to add more family games and redo retail displays to make the children’s titles easier to find,” says the story.
“It also may cut the Xbox price, which is as high as $399, analysts say,” says the story, adding that Microsoft is copying Nintendo whihc, “outsells the Xbox 360 in the U.S. by appealing to women, children and the elderly”.
Rumours that Microsoft is developing a new video game aimed at tiny tots and featuring Mr Plod in hot pursuit of Noddy shouldn’t be discounted.

Don’t just complain. Do something!

MS can say all they like, but they’ll never do anything too rash; stick with the 15 year-olds trash-talking on Halo 2 and keep their money flowing in.
