The suit with mp3 control

p2pnet.net news:- A “smart fabric” business suit designed to allow wearers to use their mp3 players, “without the strain of actually removing the device from their pocket” will soon be sold by Britain’s Marks & Spencer, or Marks & Sparks, as it’s popularly known.

It, “brings a whole new meaning to the term ‘lapel button’,” says The Guardian.

“It claims to turn a standard lapel ‘into a five-button electronic control panel’ and ‘transforms clothing into must-have fashion for the billion-dollar portable MP3 and mobile phone market’.”

Control by clothing is not, however new. Back in 2004 France Telecom was working prototypes of flexible colour screens integrated into clothing.

Nope. That’s not the new M&S soot >>>>> What you see there has to be the ultimate in Suit Control, complete with birth control shades.

Meanwhile, “The £149 (about $29) Marks & Spencer iPod suit has a ’smart-fabric’ control pad for the MP3 player sewn into the left lapel, allowing the wearer to adjust the level of sound and to skip through tracks,” says ThisIsLondon, pointing out, “The lapels even have loops to hold the earphone wires, eliminating the usual cats’ cradle of connections.”

Slashdot Slashdot it!

Tired of being treated like a criminal? They depend on you, not the other way around. Don’t buy their ‘product’. Do bug your local politicians. Use emails, snail-mail, phone calls, faxes, IM, stop them in the street, blog. And if you’re into organizing, organize petitions, organize demonstrations and then turn up on your local political rep’s doorstep, making sure you’ve contacted your local tv/radio station/newspaper in advance. Don’t just complain. Do something!
